This has been a year of living and a year of dying. Two thousand and ten began with as many questions as there would be question askers if you can understand my line of thought! I'm afraid I'm having trouble with this string of consciousness as well, if you get my drift... Ahem. And as you can surmise there has been no news lately on this blog, as the writer has taken a powder. Shame! The year 2010 will be know here as THE BLUR ! And all things posted on the blog will reflect that!

As the Biennial of the Americas "Celebration" begins, I must say there has been no feedback whatsoever about the event its self in greater Denver and the surrounding metro area. There has been a lack of coordination. The press releases have been flying!
As you can see this is the new public blogging web site. And I've added new media player which will be the official "radio" station for the prayer! Thanks for listening and for your enduring patience!

is there a problem here too?

Reboot. This blog is so far behind the times it's become almost an anchor around the unconscious neck. The city is under a hazy spell and if these dispensaries don't get organized soon, the independent power of all the growers will go away, and go to places like Pfizer or some other corporation like ADM. This is ground zero for growers all over Colorado. How about art and culture? The city is growing fast and the center of power is proliforating all over the metro area including some of the suburban neighborhoods. We'll have to stay tuned.

About a decade or so ago Andrei Codrescu wrote about the wonders of the internet in communication and commerce. Yet at the time he wasn't satisfied with how artists, writers, musicians or creative types where utilizing the new medium. Whether his opinion is true or not is debatable. Marketing still has strong representation here, and is put out there and organized by artists, musicians and creative types. How far has the internet culture gone since the 90's? Is it ALL in the code? After all we are talking about billions of ones and zeros transmitted on machines and hardware such as, fiber optics and wireless signals. Tools for what you are reading, seeing and hearing on your computer screen right now. In this economic climate, brains are spinning around, trying to make money move again. These days it seems that money is moving at a slow trickle, an empty river bed. Let us fill it with art, music and writing. For FREE. We'll pick up the pieces later.

a short but long trip #44

Welcomes and Farewells by John Garraus from his book Poesia and All My Lovin' by Lennon and McCartney!! Something different until I can get more school material.
